The staff is rude, lazy and down right unprofessional. The patients are treated poorly. You can't have nice things because patients and staff will steal things from your room. The staff just sit around and chitchat for hours while the patients are neglected..
They are rude and rape patients ! Your nothing to them but scum! They steal and could care less they incorge fights ! Stay away !
My mom worked there she was on suicide watch to make sure people didn't kill themselves
This Facility is ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!!! The staff needs to be retrained altogether! They ARE RUDE, INSENSITIVE, NON PASSIONATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! THE VERY REASON THE HOSPITAL IS OPEN, IS BECAUSE OF THE PATIENTS AND FOR THEIR CARE AND WE'LL BEING. BUT THEY ARE TREATED INHUMANE AND IGNORED!!! THE DAILY ROUTINE IS JUST TO MEDICATE AND GET THEM OUT YOUR( AND BY YOUR..I MEAN THE STAFF THAT IS SUPPOSEDLY HIRED TO HELP THEM) WAY. THERE IS NO REAL TREATMENT, COUNSELING, OR ONE ON ONE TO REALLY GET TO KNOW THE PATIENTS OR WHAT MAY WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS/ HER TREATMENT. MEDICATION IS JUST GIVEN WITH NO PRECAUTION THAT MAYBE...JUST MAYBE IT MAY NOT WORK FOR THAT PARTICULAR CLIENT AND NEEDS TO BE CHANGED ALTOGETHER!! WHO IS LOOKING OUT FOR THE PATIENTS?? WELL IT SHOULD BE THE PATIENT ADVOCATES..BUT OFTEN TIMES THEY LOOK OUT FOR THE HOSPITALS BEST INTERESTS!! CALLING TO TALK TO THE STAFF HAS BEEN A DISASTER..THEY COULD CARE LESS. THERE IS NO REAL ENGAGING THE CLIENTS, JUST THESE SO CALLED GENERIC GROUP'S AND SITTING THEM IN FRONT OF A T.V. IN A DREARY DAY ROOM TO WATCH THE NEWS, JEOPARDY, WHEEL OF FORTUNE OR THINGS OF THE LIKE. THE FOOD THEY FEED THEM IS DISGRACEFUL, YOU USED TO BE ABLE TO AT LEAST TAKE THEM FOOD...BUT NOW YOU ONLY CAN PURCHASE FROM THEIR FACILITY! IT BAFFLES ME HOW INDIVIDUALS GO INTO A CERTAIN CAREERS LIKE PHYSICIANS, NURSING, CAREGIVERS, HUMAN SERVICES BUT ACT AS THOUGH THEY DON'T LIKE HUMAN'S!! THEY DON'T DISPLAY ANY CARE OR PASSION ESPECIALLY WITH THE MENTALLY ILL CONSUMER!! THE STATE IS SUPPOSEDLY MANAGING THESE HOSPITALS AND LOOKING OUT FOR THE PATIENTS AND THEIR CONCERNS AND COMPLAINTS, BUT THEY DON'T!! THESE PATIENTS ARE NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND ARE OFTEN DEGRADED BELITTLED AND MISTREATED!!! THEREFORE I WILL ALWAYS BE AN ADVOCATE FOR THEM!! ANCORA SHAME ON YOU!!!!
This “institution” is incredibly depressing as you drive through, no decorations for the seasons, giving the patients a sense of well-being. The staff are not on the same page and communication is not passed on properly. Sometimes I have to wonder if the workers have any form of education under their belts as they do not know how accountability and oversight works. Sedating and zombifying the patients is not treating them it’s pacifying them for a time being. What can you expect from a place where the justice system has investigated them over four times... *sigh* mental health in NJ doomed.....
